Resolume Player

Resolume Player is a collection of Plug-ins that use the versability of Live to control Resolume via OSC.

Resolume line note

Resolume-line-note

Resolume line note is allowing you to control ANY parameter in Resolume Arena 4 via OSC. Thru the menu on the right you are allow to select witch parameter you like to control and it’s organised in “composition”, “layer”, “track” and “clip”.
Selecting any of the main areas will activate a sub-menu with more detailed parameters. Once you set the parameter you want to automate the input midi note will trigger the automation. You can decide if you want to control an Int parameter or a float one. Int parameters are generally 1 or 0 and they’re good to control on/off switches. Float parameters are decimal values between 0.0 and 1.0 and they’re good to control any Resolume parameter responding to a slider. In Float mode, you can send a fixed value using the “manual value” knob, or using a ramp of values going from max to min values in the amount of time settable with “range time” knob. In “float mode” you can also choose to modulate the max ramp value using a midi propriety you can select from the first menu on the top-left corner. If you set velocity, for example, the ramp of values will hit the max value set by the max numberbox only if the incoming velocity of the note is the maximum (127). Lower values of velocity will scale the max value of the ramp.

Clip Trigger

Clip Trigger is a simple plug-in that allows you to trigger clips in Resolume using incoming midi notes in Ableton Live. You should put it in a midi-track or better inside a “Drum rack”. While a note is playing (sustaining) this plug-in will send to resolume a value 1, when the note stops will send a 0. This allows you to play clips in resolume with any trigger mode. A layer selector will chose wich layer is going to be controlled. The clip number will tell to Resolume wich clip has to play. You can automate the playing succession of clips setting “auto increase” to on and setting the max and min clip number value. This will play the next clip within the max-min range values whenever a midi note is coming. The direction of the playing succession can be set with the “direction” menu between “up”, “down” or “palindrome”.
